This July, Steph & Marco celebrated their love of nature and each other with an eco-friendly vegan wedding at Artscape Gibraltar Point. Blessed with perfect mid-summer weather, they were married outdoors and danced the night away under a canopy of trees and lights. Following the ceremony, the couple planted a maple tree on the property to honour their love and the spirit of the occasion. The natural vibe was captured beautifully by Artage Pictures.
From the bride:
When we were planning our vegan eco-friendly wedding, we wanted a venue that had plenty of natural outdoor space, ample indoor space, yet was still accessible without leaving the city. Artscape Gibraltar Point was the perfect fit. The down to earth property with a lot of history and character, the sounds of the poplar trees rustling in the lake breezes, the absence of cars and traffic, the sandy beach, dancing under the stars….people are still describing our wedding as “magical”.
Lisa and the team at Artscape were so friendly and easy to work with. They were there for us every step of the way. We also felt a great sense of community. All to-be-wed couples were invited to meet each other and to take part in shaping the space for that season. We all swapped decor, shared ideas, and made the space our own. Artscape is an oasis for creativity and for reconnecting with nature, a non-profit that facilitates great creative wellsprings within our city. It’s not your one-stop-shop banquet hall. And we couldn’t be happier about that!
