Now in its fourth summer at Artscape Gibraltar Point, the 2012 ALL CAPS! Island Festival featured art installations, BBQs, swimming, bonfires, camping, games, film screenings and a killer line up of indie bands like Yamantaka//Sonic Titan, DD/MM/YY and Maylee Todd.
For those who missed it, Tiana Feng has some great recaps of Day 1 and Day 2 at Ride the Tempo. Check out a few of her photos from the event in the gallery below. Michael Thomas and Elena Gritzen also have awesome recaps of Day 1 and Day 2 on Grayowl Point.
The Buzz
“To say that it’s as close to a mini version of Woodstock as one could experience in 2012 would not be that farfetched, except that the crowd was around 200 not 200,000.” –Digital Journal
“It’s a unique event on the Toronto concert calendar, not least because it’s the only festival in the city that actually lets you pitch a tent, sit around a bonfire and bond with your fellow festivalgoers in an outdoor environment. That’s kinda the way all festivals should operate, really.” –Toronto Star
“[Artscape Gibraltar Point] provided the perfect location for ALL CAPS!’ mingling of musical genres, art installations, and community organizations.” –The Grid
